Handwoven vintage kilim from the Esme region in Western Anatolia. 40-60 years old, semi-antique.

The warp and weft are made from hand spun sheep's wool.

This kilim was handwoven and probably kept as part of a bride's dowry.

The Esme kilim was extensively restored in Istanbul over several days. It is now in excellent condition.
