Beautifully brocaded, hand-woven Cicim Kelim from Central Anatolia, approx. 170 x 125 cm. This kilim was probably woven by the Sarikecili nomadic tribe.
Approx. 30 - 40 years old. Very good condition.
The Cicim Kelim was woven with the following motifs, among others:
✿ Pitrak / Burdock.
A plant that adheres to people's clothing and animal hair.
It protects against evil eyes and is a symbol of abundance and prosperity.
✿ Nazar (Eye)
It protects against evil eyes and thoughts.
✿ Koç boynuzu (Ram's horn)
This motif symbolizes fertility, courage, and fearlessness.
