Anatolian nomadic tribe cushion ca. 90 x 50 cm
Elaborately embroidered nomadic pillow from Anatolia.
This is an authentic and valuable Cicim pillow, presumably woven by the nomadic women of the Karakecilli in the 1970s or 80s, and also used as a pillow.
It is not a kilim pillow, but a rare piece of the dwindling nomadic culture.
We have only replaced the original back material with a high-quality cotton fabric and added a zipper.
By the way, Cicim means "my darling" in Turkish.
The motifs and symbols of Anatolian weaving culture are diverse and have different meanings depending on the region and tribe. They stand for happiness, love, and prosperity for the family.
