Anatolian nomadic tribe cushion ca. 80 x 50
✿ Elaborately embroidered nomadic pillow from Anatolia ✿
This is an authentic and very high-quality cicim pillow, woven by the nomad women of the Karakecilli, presumably in the 70s-80s, and also used as a pillow.
It is not a kilim pillow, but a rare piece of the almost vanished nomadic culture.
We have only replaced the original back material with a high-quality cotton fabric and added a zipper.
By the way, "cicim" means "my darling" in Turkish.
The motifs and symbols of Anatolian weaving culture are diverse and have different meanings depending on the region and tribe. They stand for happiness, love, and prosperity for the family.
