On a tour through Anatolia a few years ago, we discovered a large kilim hanging on the wall of a kilim dealer in the beautiful little town of Kaş. We were impressed and fell in love with the colors and motifs. After some consideration, it was clear to us that we had to buy the kilim and carry it in our backpack for the rest of the trip. The kilim was made of pure sheep's wool and weighed about 8 kg!

Back in Berlin, we realized for the first time that the kilim told a story with its motifs. A story of love and longing. Of the unity between two people. From the connection between human and nature.

Out of this enthusiasm, the one kilim for our home became a collection of unique textile works of art, that we collected year after year on our travels through Anatolia. Soon we had so many kilims at home that we started selling some to make room for new ones. That's how it all started and things just took off. Now we collect kilims from Istanbul to Van in eastern Turkey to offer them here for you.
